The Engineering (Tech) Team is responsible for all Feedzai product development. Together with Product Management and Data Science, we build the next generation of tools to catch fraud in real-time with a machine learning first approach. Formed by engineers and managed by engineers, at Feedzai, you will find some of the most talented teams out there, from junior to senior engineers.
Driven to build the best value for our customers, our work involves a wide range of technical challenges, such as building distributed systems that need to operate 24/7, ensure ultra-low latencies, and solving UI/UX problems to help fraud analysts to fight fraud more efficiently. In addition, designing extensive databases from relational, NoSQL and graphs, validate and develop new data science techniques and algorithms.
With Cloud at its core, the Platform Engineering area supports our product development life cycle, from development through testing and deployment to operations and maintenance, aiming towards a DevOps-centric vision.

Our Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team is dedicated to providing advanced automation, proactive monitoring, and exceptional support, ensuring an optimal experience for our customers and maintaining the highest standards of system availability and performance, enhancing and safeguarding the reliability and scalability of Feedzai's products.
The purpose of the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team at Feedzai is two-fold:

Reliability and Scalability: The SRE team is responsible for establishing and maintaining a robust, scalable, and highly available infrastructure for Feedzai's products. By implementing advanced automation, developing comprehensive maintenance plans, and crafting troubleshooting guides, the team ensures that our systems remain resilient and dependable even during high-demand scenarios.

Customer Satisfaction and Support: The SRE team is committed to elevating customer satisfaction by providing prompt and effective assistance. Through timely responses to customer requests for environments, product support, and incident resolution, the team empowers customers to maximize the potential of Feedzai's tools and environments for analyzing and detecting financial fraud.
By collaborating closely with other engineering and operational teams, the SRE team ensures seamless integration and alignment across the organization. The team actively works to identify areas of improvement, define service ownership, and automate processes to optimize the company's shared services and infrastructure.

You:
As part of the Performance & Reliability team you’ll work closely with other platform engineers with a deep understanding of Feedzai’s cloud products and environments in developing the automation, tooling and platforms that make up Feedzai’s Internal Developer Platform, and by doing so, contributing to a faster and more nimble product delivery. You will also work with product team engineers to gather requirements and understand their specific needs, while helping shape the platform’s direction.
Your Day to Day:
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, operations and analytics;
- Automate all aspects of the cloud infrastructure and incident response;
- Maintain and improve the product deployment pipeline;
- Build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, operations and analytics; automate all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle;
- Development with Go, Python, Java, Groovy, Bash or similar languages;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement DevX best practices.
- Participate in incident response, root cause investigation and resolution for the products your team develops;
- Maintain and develop our infrastructure as code (IaC) to manage and operate end-to-end lifecycle operations (monitoring, alerting, security, cost optimization, configuration, backup, etc.) in production environments;
- Utilize your experience and problem solving skills to help prevent and investigate production issues;
- Develop playbooks related to actionable alerts;
You Have & You Know-How:
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and training;
- 2+ years of professional experience
- 1+ years of experience working on Platform Engineering topics
- Programming skills (Java, Go, Python, Bash or similar languages)
- Experience with Virtualization, Container Technologies and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes);
- Experience with monitoring & Observability stacks such as Grafana and Prometheus
- Knowledge with Automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, Terraform, Ansible, Runbooks
- Experience with CI/CD tools, including Jenkins/Gitlab and Flux CD/Argo CD.
- Self-driven & motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving
Preferred/Valued Qualifications and Skills:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Extensive hands-on experience in platform engineering, with a focus on DevX
- Previous experience with AWS
- Kubernetes and Cloud certifications or equivalent
