The Engineering (Tech) Team is responsible for all Feedzai product development. Together with Product Management and Data Science, we build the next generation of tools to catch fraud in real-time with a machine learning first approach. Formed by engineers and managed by engineers, at Feedzai, you will find one of the most talented teams out there, from junior to senior engineers.

While building the best value for our customers, you will work with a wide range of technical challenges. Such as building distributed systems that need to operate 24/7 and ultra-low latencies, solving UI/UX problems to help fraud analysts to fight fraud more efficiently. In addition, designing extensive databases from relational, NoSQL and graphs, validate and develop new data science techniques and algorithms.

On a daily basis, you’ll have the chance to work on subjects such as fully distributed, highly scalable event-driven services that operate with strict Ultra-Low Latency requirements. You will also be working with innovative solutions that apply Machine Learning to Fraud Detection and Digital Identity assurance.

Your Day to Day:

Work with R&D team on evolving our detection techniques and platforms

Keep up-to-date with new threats, new trends and new techniques in signal gathering and processing and use them to extend our capabilities around Network, Device and Malware related analysis and detection
Contribute to shared knowledge base
Be hands-on, implementing PoCs, tests and readily usable software artifacts
Design and develop services to retrieve, process and transform requests in near real-time
Coach and mentor the Development team on adoption
Contribute to best practices and guidelines for software development
Engage in recruiting activities that allow Feedzai to draw top talent

You Have & You Know-how:

BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science, or a similar technical degree
Critical mindset and autonomy: As a Labs Engineer, you’ll be influencing the product’s architecture and standards
5+ years of experience in developing and delivering advanced applications.

As a Labs Engineer, you’ll be searching for innovation opportunities in the fraud detection space, proofing them and generating documentation and software artifacts for the development teams. We value experience in the following topics:

Experience with Python or Java for backend development
Experience with and understanding of ML related technologies and methodologies
Experience with Frontend development
Experience Building high performance scalable services
Good technical communication skills
As a Labs Engineer, most other Software Engineers will look up to you as a leader and source of new ideas

Also valued:

Experience with Device, Network and/or Malware signals and Intelligence
Some experience with mobile development in IOS (Objective-C)
Some experience with mobile development in Android (Java)
Some experience with web development (JavaScript)

Your First 30-Days at Feedzai:

You will be immersed in our brand with training, connections, and one-on-one time with your manager. You may shadow your colleagues virtually or onsite at an office depending on where you work as you are supported through your Feedzai journey. In addition, you will have access to a ton of information to give you history, context, and all the knowledge you can handle about Feedzai and the team.
